I have been using Keyshot since September 2008. It is a great program for near photographic results from just about any 3D source, but it usefully it has plug-ins for direct connection to many 3D solids CAD packages. The shot above started off as geometry modelled in Pro-Engineer.
Cut away Standard Class D_web
The above shot was taken from a Pro-Engineer model which had an assembly cut applied. The colours were applied in Pro-Engineer, which is a big time saver. The wheelchair was imported into Keyshot as an .obj file.

Gangway Model

The above image is a screenshot from edrawings. With Keyshot, even a lifeless CAD image can be brought to life.

This is a Keyshot rendering of the same geometry. We needed print ready imagery for a catalogue before this full-sized model was ready for an exhibition.

New Vehicle B.2-5-stopsweb
This render is my most successful interior render. The lighting is almost entirely from the hdr materials placed on the LED light panels. The HDRI sunset environment is not competing with the interior lighting.

Most recently I have been using Keyshot to render this smart car. The program really shines with vehicle exterior renders.
